News Hunters Gets IMC Approval...Print Publication Commences October 10

The Independent Media Commission (IMC) has approved the application of the Sierra Leone News Hunters (Ariogbo Newspaper) to commence publication on print.

The News Hunters management recently applied to the IMC for license to operate a print newspaper, and following due procedures, the IMC board, on Friday September 30 2011, unanimously approved the application.

Publisher cum Editor-in-Chief of the News Hunters (Ariogbo Newspaper), Abdul Karim Fonti Kabia, has described the IMC decision as a milestone in the history of the country's media landscape.

"There is this quest for positive change in the country's media landscape, and the Ariogbo Newspaper is here to make true that dream," Fonti said, while assuring that the new newspaper will serve as an independent gossip newspaper.

The newest and youngest newspaper editor announced that the Ariogbo Newspaper will hit the streets of Sierra Leone on Monday October 10 2011.

Fonti furthered that the Ariogbo Newspaper would be launched together with its well designed ultra-modern website.
