SLRTC Showcases 12 New Buses

There were scenes of jubilations across the Freetown city today when the Sierra Leone Road Transport Corporation (SLRTC) put on display twelve new buses that recently arrived in the country to ease the challenges associated with transportation in the country.

Shortly after the buses were removed from the Queen Elizabeth Quay II, they were lined up and toured along  major streets in Freetown amid jubilations from petty traders, biker riders and passersby among others.

See photo news of the buses at Garrison Street in Freetown.

  1. When will SLRTC buy themselves buses like Abess and others do? the last batch was from Libya's Ghadaffi. These ones are on loan from ECOBANK. Interest rates are usually very high. I hope the jubilation did not take a political turn like Ghadaffi's buses did. God! salone! Gosh!

  3. One of the areas our government should invest in is public transportation. It's pathetically painful to see government ministers and other public officials driving SUVs and other cars that cost tens of thousands of dollars while the poor and suffering taxpayers scramble every minute for transport to and from work or their business places.

And why is Ernest's face all over the bus? Reminds me of Siaka Steven's face all over the Leones. When can we stop politicizing public properties and institutions. I am sure some politically appointed ZEALOT is finding ways to pay back the boss. And Ghadafi fooling a people and a nation with buses is a disgrace i will always remember.
